Job Title: IHealth Specialty Lead –Trauma Services

At Island Health, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and improving healthcare outcomes. As an IHealth Specialty Lead –Trauma Services, you will play a critical role in leading the development of clinical standards and order sets for trauma services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with island-wide specialty groups to promote standardized documentation requirements and develop condition-specific documentation or specialty-specific requirements.
  • Lead the harmonization of order sets for use in both paper-based and Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) implementations.
  • Ensure the linkage to the Quality Council and Quality Council co-chairs through regular reporting and escalation.
  • Liaise with informatics, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health team members to ensure successful development and adoption of clinical order sets.
  • Support overall IHealth change management by actively engaging with specialty colleagues to support change.
  • Ensure that clinical and professional legislative, accreditation, or practice requirements are met.
  • Participate in testing events to ensure the design of the EHR meets clinical workflow requirements and best practice requirements.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the EHR and related systems through participating in lessons learned, provider experience feedback, benefits evaluation, and metrics.

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with island-wide specialty groups and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical order sets and electronic health records.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
