We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Tab Finishing Limited. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and finishing of various projects.
Key Responsibilities- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Prepare and Install Materials: Prepare layouts and install materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain and Repair Structures: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain a safe working environment.
- On-Site Work: This role involves on-site work, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Cultural Competency Training: We provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Mentorship Programs: Our mentorship programs pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees, promoting knowledge sharing and career development.
- Foreign Credential Recognition: We support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, ensuring they can utilize their skills and experience in Canada.
- Cultural Awareness Training: We provide cultural awareness training to all employees, promoting understanding and respect for Indigenous cultures.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Our mentorship and coaching programs support Indigenous workers in their career development and provide opportunities for networking and growth.
- Elder Support: We facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Diversity and Inclusion Training: We provide diversity and inclusion training to create a welcoming work environment for visible minorities.
- Mentorship Programs: Our mentorship programs pair visible minorities with experienced employees, promoting knowledge sharing and career development.
- Permanent Work Term: This is a permanent full-time position, offering stability and opportunities for growth.
- English Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
- 40 Hours per Week: The workweek consists of 40 hours, with regular working hours and occasional overtime as required.
