We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Tab Finishing Limited. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and finishing of wood products.
Key Responsibilities- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Prepare and Install Wood Products: Prepare layouts and install wood products, including windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Maintain and Repair Wood Structures: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain a safe working environment.
- On-Site Work: This role requires on-site work, with occasional travel to various job sites.
- Cultural Competency Training: We provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Mentorship Programs: Our mentorship programs pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees to support their integration into the workforce.
- Foreign Credential Recognition: We support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition to ensure they can contribute their skills and experience to our team.
- Cultural Awareness Training: We provide cultural awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Our mentorship and coaching programs support Indigenous workers in their career development and provide opportunities for networking and growth.
- Elder Support: We facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Diversity and Inclusion Training: We provide diversity and inclusion training to create a welcoming work environment for visible minorities.
- Mentorship Programs: Our mentorship programs pair visible minorities with experienced employees to support their integration into the workforce.
- Permanent Full-Time Position: This is a permanent full-time position with a regular 40-hour workweek.
- English Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
