Job Summary

The Government of Alberta seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Issue Resolution to join our team. As a key member of the executive team, you will provide leadership, coordination, and guidance to enable effective identification, assessment, and resolution of ongoing and emerging issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine the nature and priority of issues, research, and coordinate the assembly of supporting information to ensure timely, accurate, and coordinated issue resolution.
  • Work closely with program areas, the Ministry, the Government of Alberta, and partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure the Deputy Managing Director is fully informed and prepared to address ongoing and emergent events.
  • Manage information flow within the Government of Alberta in support of Agency, Ministry, and Government goals and objectives.
  • Supervise the Action Request Tracking System (ARTS) process within the Agency in collaboration with Executive Correspondence Unit, Deputy Minister's Office, Minister's Office, and Premier's Office.
  • In the event of a significant emergency, the Manager functions as the Chief of Staff for the Deputy Managing Director, ensuring the DMD is fully informed and that identified responsibilities are tasked and completed.
