Senior Manager, Labour Relations

As a Senior Manager, Labour Relations, you will play a key role in shaping the company's labour relations strategy and fostering a culture of service excellence.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Labour Relations is responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance on the administration and interpretation of Collective Agreements. You will act as a key advisor on grievance management and alternative dispute resolution, developing and maintaining relationships between the union and management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Foster and set an effective labour relations strategic direction with the assigned client base
  • Lead, coach, and develop labour relations professionals to improve capability and encourage best practices
  • Work collaboratively to establish process standards that drive efficiency and clear accountability
  • Act as a strategic advisor on grievance management and alternative dispute resolution options
  • Provide advice and guidance on the administration and interpretation of Collective Agreements
  • Develop and maintain relationships between the union and management
  • Use analytics to drive decision-making and research materials
  • Communicate with legal experts to achieve positive results
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on labour relations procedures, labour law, and dispute resolutions
Requirements Experience
  • Between 8 to 10 years of experience in labour relations, including experience in managing direct reports
Education/Certification/Designation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Labour Relations, Industrial Relations or related Law or Human Resources or equivalent
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
