Business Analyst
CB Canada is currently in search of a skilled Business Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

The Business Analyst will play a crucial role within the Cloud Services team. The team is looking for qualified project resources to assist in the collection and documentation of business requirements essential for the implementation of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, and other strategic initiatives. The responsibilities of the Business Analyst will encompass:

  • Facilitating strategic implementation discussions with clinical, operational, and business leadership groups,
  • Conducting tactical implementation meetings with various programs and departments,
  • Designing and executing strategic project implementation methodologies with programs and departments,
  • Validating and documenting current and future state workflows for specific IT use cases in collaboration with engaged programs and departments,
  • Identifying and facilitating necessary updates to existing policies, guidelines, and processes that affect the utilization of evolving technologies,
  • Assisting in the development of change management strategies, mobile application toolkits, instructional materials, and training resources,
  • Creating or aiding in the creation of design documents, requirements analysis, testing plans, test cases, use cases, process flows, procedures, and policies,
  • Supporting the formulation of business cases and briefing notes as needed,
  • Collaborating with health authorities and technical teams from various organizations,
  • Assisting in the retirement of outdated technologies, managing various aspects of project delivery including planning, risk management, deliverables, communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, and
  • Executing other project-related tasks as directed by the project manager and program manager as necessary.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  1. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst for large-scale IT projects
  2. At least 2 years of experience with BC Health Authorities
  3. Exceptional analytical abilities, including the capacity to comprehend, analyze, and resolve complex issues while presenting information in a clear and meaningful manner
  4. Proven knowledge and success in workflow analysis or business process re-engineering
  5. Outstanding relationship-building capabilities
  6. Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering enterprise-level projects
  7. Proven ability to manage sensitive and challenging situations
  8. Experience working with Senior Management and Executives
  9. Ability to work independently to resolve issues

10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

11. Strong presentation abilities

12. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

13. Capability to manage multiple tasks with frequently changing requirements

14. Proven ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations

15. Experience collaborating with team members at all levels to resolve issues

16. Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred:

  1. Certified Business Analyst (CPC) designation (or equivalent)
  2. A degree in Business Administration, Clinical Informatics, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of recent relevant experience in healthcare or information management
  3. Experience with PHSA, VCH, and/or PHC
  4. Strong working relationships with HA stakeholders and IMIT departments
  5. Hands-on experience in a clinical environment is a plus

References:

  1. References (supervisor level) will be requested and verified for all past BC Health Authority experience.
