Brand Momentum is seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising Specialist to work independently across multiple retail outlets, dedicating approximately 40 hours per week to this role.

Managerial Oversight

The manager will supervise the area extending from Waterloo to Kitchener.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a seasoned professional who embodies a strong work ethic, is detail-oriented, and possesses the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, thrive in a dynamic setting, and excel in building strong business relationships. Experience in a grocery store environment is a plus. Additionally, candidates should have access to a smartphone and the internet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure optimal in-store conditions by executing essential role fundamentals.
  • Maintain a well-stocked Bulk Section.
  • Provide comprehensive service across various areas within the store(s).
  • Oversee the upkeep of floral displays at each location.
  • Lead seasonal team management for specific audits.
  • Establish relationships with in-store personnel to boost sales.
  • Support Team Leaders with valuable store-level insights.
  • Assist Independent Contractors or neighboring stores in the coverage area.
  • Deliver performance updates to Team Leaders regarding additional support needs.
Core Competencies:Hard Skills:
  • Some sales experience, ideally in consumer-packaged goods.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and other relevant software.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated drive, creativity, and coaching skills.
  • A strong customer focus with an understanding of key business drivers.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Proven skills in sales and territory management.
Experience Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of sales experience in merchandising or consumer packaged goods.
  • Ability to understand and communicate sales reports and business insights.
  • A positive demeanor, effective communication, and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, email communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ownership of a reliable vehicle and smartphone.
  • Commitment to accountability for all responsibilities.
