The City of Kamloops is seeking a skilled Urban Planner to join our Planning & Development Department. This role requires a well-organized and resourceful individual with strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
As a City of Kamloops employee, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community you live in. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to creating and sustaining a vibrant and sustainable community.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in Urban Planning or a related discipline, and will be able to acquire full membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners within five years of employment. They will also have a minimum of one year's experience as a planner in a municipal or private sector environment, including previous experience in both a technical and analytical planning role.
The City of Kamloops offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive hourly rate of $48.51. This is a CUPE local 900 position.
