About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Billet Workshop. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that all construction projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Prepare and Construct Building Components: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Supervise and Train Team Members: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure that all construction projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Ensure that all work sites are safe and free from hazards, and that all team members are aware of and follow safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Possess a Carpenter Trade Certification and a Carpenter Red Seal Certificate.
  • Experience and Skills: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in carpentry and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift heavy loads, work at heights, and withstand physically demanding work environments.
