About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at 2830382 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Structural Assembly: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a solid and secure structure.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to complete the project.
  • Project Coordination: Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion and minimal disruptions.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other workers to ensure they have the necessary tools and resources to complete their tasks efficiently.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments to ensure they remain safe and functional.
  • Work Environment: Work in a variety of settings, including residential, commercial and industrial environments, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
