Position: Senior Developer
Location: Victoria/Remote
Duration: Months contract + Possible extension
Job Overview:
The Senior Developer is expected to possess the following Essential Skills and Experience:
  • At least -years' experience as a full-stack software engineer (both front-end and back-end) utilizing Python and web technologies/frameworks (such as Nuxt/Vue, Nets/React, Typescript, Tailwind).
  • A minimum of -years' experience with containerization technologies/platforms, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Google Cloud.
  • A minimum of -years' experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs with API technologies, such as Open API, API gateway, and JSON Schema.
  • At least -years' experience collaborating within an agile team, with a requirement of one year using scrum methodologies to deliver incremental value for users of a product or digital service.
  • Experience in migrating digital services from legacy systems such as mainframe and/or client/server architectures to modern environments using techniques/tools like containerization and microservices.
  • Proficiency in writing automated tests and assisting in the establishment of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • Familiarity with databases (Postgres, Oracle, etc.) and SQL languages.
  • Experience in a scaled agile environment, detailing the duration and the number of teams involved in the respective organization.
  • Knowledge of search technologies such as SOLR, Elastic Search, or Google Big Query.
  • Experience in creating and delivering training to clients on the skills and knowledge outlined in the mandatory and desirable sections.
  • Proficient in developing technical documentation, diagrams, and Requests for Comments (RFCs).
  • Understanding and/or implementation experience with observability practices (logging, traces, metrics).
