Instrumentation & Controls Specialist

TWD Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing instrumentation and control systems for various industries.
Job SummaryThe Instrumentation & Controls Engineer will work on a variety of consulting engineering assignments, with primary responsibilities in electrical engineering and design. This role will involve participating in dynamic project teams, working on a range of tasks, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop instrumentation and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Review and check technical vendor submittals for installation requirements, and prepare instrumentation calculations for control valves, flow orifices, and relief valves.
- Design specialized control systems/instrumentation (PLCs) and provide field support through construction and commissioning.
- Prepare equipment specifications, and stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry standard best practices.
- Work with TWD and client design specifications, communicate effectively with internal project team members and external clients, and provide cross-functional technical support as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 15+ years of engineering experience and supervisory duties.
- Able to conduct detailed calculations to ensure designs meet engineered standards and applicable codes.
- Experience with multiple phases of projects, including preliminary and detailed design, tendering, construction supervision, and commissioning.
- Valid Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's License for independent travel to project sites and other office locations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This role will involve working in an office environment, as well as on-site at client locations. You will be required to sit for extended periods, use computer and peripherals, and work in a fast-paced environment. Travel may be required to facilitate work-site engineering field reviews.
