About the Role

As a Training and Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping our employees develop the skills they need to succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs for employees across all branches
  • Collaborate with Directors, Branch/Resource Managers, and Executive to identify training needs and develop solutions
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions on various topics, including product training, health and safety, and soft skills
  • Coordinate and schedule health and safety training, as well as first aid and forklift training
  • Log all training and maintain records to ensure continuity
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and prepare training materials as needed
  • Own the logging, records, and controls of all training and assessments
  • Prepare monthly reports for managers and directors
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to identify career paths and develop training based on employee competencies
  • Provide training on root cause analysis for customer complaints
  • Coordinate testing groups and processes for ERP system updates and customizations
  • Work with IT and consultants to thoroughly test customizations
  • Ensure all new employees receive basic training on the ERP system, process flows, and ISO Quality Manual and System
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in an HR Training related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with adult learners
  • Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories, learning designs, and delivery
  • Capability development experience
  • Experience in industrial settings is an asset
  • Knowledge of OHS Legislation
