Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Training Specialist, Learning to oversee training and development for employees across all branches. This role will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs, maintaining a training library, and ensuring all employees have access to necessary materials and resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs based on employee needs and input from directors, branch managers, and executive team members.
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions in various formats, including in-person, virtual, and online.
  • Maintain a comprehensive training library on the company intranet, ensuring all staff have access to materials, instructions, and tips.
  • Coordinate and schedule health and safety training, forklift theory and practical evaluation, and first aid training.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, preparing and maintaining training materials as needed.
  • Log all training, upload certificates, and maintain records to ensure continuity.
  • Determine training needs based on employee inquiries, IT department feedback, and ISO coordinator input.
  • Conduct assessments to ensure employees are competent in trained material and adjust training programs accordingly.
  • Provide continuous improvement training and facilitation using available project tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, 6Sigma, and soft skills.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to identify career paths based on competencies and develop training programs to address gaps.
  • Provide training for root cause analysis and ERP breakdowns as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in an HR training-related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with adult learners.
  • Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories, learning designs, and delivery.
  • Experience in industrial settings is an asset.
