About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at HABESHA AFRICAN SUPERMARKET LTD. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process customer transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Payments: Handle customer payments, including cash, cheques, and credit/debit card transactions, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Greet Customers: Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing them with information about our products and services.
  • Weigh Produce and Bulk Foods: Accurately weigh and package produce and bulk foods for customers, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced retail environment, handling multiple customer transactions and tasks simultaneously.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with regular working hours.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
