About the Role
Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Activity Aide at Port Perry Place. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in bringing joy and fulfillment to our residents through the planning and implementation of engaging activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized and group activity programs in collaboration with the Supervisor.
- Prepare activity areas and assist residents in participating in activities.
- Monitor and report any significant changes in resident behavior or well-being to the Supervisor and nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation and resident feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure resident needs are met.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience in program planning and implementation for seniors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
