Senior Manager of Communications and Customer Service

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Communications Leader to join our team at the City of Windsor. As a key member of our corporate communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Communications Strategy: Create and execute a communications plan that effectively communicates our organization's vision, mission, and values to various stakeholders.
- Lead Communications Team: Supervise and mentor a team of communications professionals to ensure the successful execution of communications initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, community groups, and City Council.
- Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communications plans to ensure timely and effective communication during emergency situations.
- Media Relations: Serve as the primary spokesperson for the City of Windsor, responding to media inquiries and providing strategic advice to senior leaders.
- Content Creation: Develop and disseminate a range of communications materials, including news releases, social media posts, and publications.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate communications.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading communications teams and developing strategic communications plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Crisis Communications: Experience in developing and implementing crisis communications plans.
- Media Relations: Strong media relations skills, including experience as a spokesperson.
- Content Creation: Ability to develop and disseminate a range of communications materials.
- Performance Metrics: Experience in establishing and tracking key performance indicators.
- Competitive Salary: $122,852.35 to $140,328.45 per year.
