Key Qualifications:
- Possession of a recognized accounting designation such as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) (CA, CMA, CGA) or equivalent training and experience.
- Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, internal control frameworks, and accrual accounting methodologies.
- Experience in establishing and overseeing processes and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: Familiarity with SAP and PBFM or similar accounting/ERP systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Financial Administration Specialist acts as the main point of contact and subject matter expert in financial management and administration for client departments. Reporting to the Director (SFO), the specialist aids departmental leadership with budgeting, cash flow management, variance analysis, policy interpretation, and additional support. This position is integral in assisting departments with fiscal accountability and effective management.
