Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Initiatives (70-80%):

  • Direct tailored strategy formulation and advisory services at both enterprise and business line levels, which includes research, analysis, and impactful strategic recommendations to resolve business challenges. This may involve:
    • High-touch support, where the team actively drives strategy development in specific sectors or businesses.
    • Low-touch support, where the team offers advisory services, such as participating in steering committees for key initiatives and engaging in specific project workstreams.
  • Develop project plans to ensure deliverables and timelines are adhered to.
  • Collect data and conduct financial analyses to identify issues.
  • Create financial models to evaluate potential future financial benefits and costs.
  • Oversee multiple project workstreams, including leading problem-solving sessions, workshops, and interviews with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Synthesize findings and present clear recommendations and implementation strategies to ensure impactful project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of objectives.

Strategic Planning (20-30%):

  • Facilitate the execution and ongoing management of strategic planning at both the enterprise and business line levels.
  • Conduct strategic and business analyses, identifying critical issues and proposing recommendations for the Bank's overarching strategy.
  • Communicate the Bank's strategic objectives and priorities effectively.
  • Perform competitive and business environment research and benchmarking to identify emerging issues and trends, analyzing their implications for the Bank's strategic direction.
  • Assist in organizing strategy sessions for senior management and the Board of Directors to foster ongoing discussions regarding the Bank's strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering; a graduate business degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-MBA or 5 years post-undergraduate experience in consulting, corporate strategy/development, or investment banking.
  • Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and influential capabilities.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, with the ability to discern critical business issues from research data.
  • Highly developed relationship management skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
  • Outstanding presentation and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering innovative solutions from concept through to change management.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
