Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, cooking, and presentation. You will work closely with our culinary management team to ensure that all food items meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Duties
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Work closely with the culinary management team to ensure quality and presentation standards are met
  • Assist with cleaning and organizing of kitchen equipment and areas
  • Prepare and stock ingredients for daily operations
  • Butcher meats and poultry
  • Prepare basic soups and sauces
  • Prepare basic desserts
  • Cut, slice, chop, and peel vegetables and fruits
  • Restock, clean, and organize kitchen equipment and areas
  • Ensure all food items meet quality and presentation standards
  • Interact positively and professionally with colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Able to read, understand, and follow recipes
  • Minimum two years' experience in a high-volume restaurant or banquet setting
  • Valid Food Safe Certificate (Levels 1)
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Outgoing, professional, customer-driven individual with strong people skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and work unsupervised
  • Good organizational skills
  • Dependable and reliable with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
