We are seeking a Junior Water Resources Engineer to enhance our expanding team. As part of our Engineering Services Division, you will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include developing studies, reports, and detailed designs in partnership with various engineering disciplines throughout our design projects.

Location - Remote.

Your responsibilities include:

To excel in this role, you will be tasked with:

  1. Conducting hydrological and hydraulic assessments, including flood mapping, water balance evaluations, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and Low Impact Development (LID) design.
  2. Creating engineering designs and schematics from initial concepts, specifications, bid documents, and other relevant data, adhering to client requirements for municipal and infrastructure projects.
  3. Performing essential calculations to analyze and design components of water resource systems using standard software and proprietary tools.
  4. Exhibiting proficiency in utilizing various design criteria manuals from relevant authorities.
  5. Preparing documentation such as reports, calculations, technical memoranda, and designs including profiles, cross sections, and storm drainage/LID systems.
  6. Overseeing the development of contract packages, which include design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  7. Assisting in project management, proposal writing, and client engagement efforts.

The ideal candidate:

  1. Possesses a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from an accredited institution.
  2. Has 0 to 2 years of experience in Water Resources Engineering.
  3. Familiarity with water resources modeling software is advantageous.
  4. Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and related design software.
  5. Knowledge of water resources policies and standards in the region.
  6. Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and project management in municipal infrastructure.
