Gameplay Systems Specialist

About the Role:

At Activision, we're seeking a skilled Gameplay Systems Specialist to join our team in Toronto. As a key member of our development team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing engaging gameplay systems for our AAA titles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the design team to create a cohesive and immersive gameplay experience.
  • Own and lead the development of gameplay systems, including mechanics and features.
  • Conceptualize, pitch, and iterate on designs with the development team.
  • Work closely with artists, engineers, animators, and audio experts to bring designs to life.
  • Continuously iterate on game mechanics and systems to ensure a fun and engaging experience for players.
  • Refine gameplay to meet or exceed expectations through user feedback, analytics, and design goals.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on gameplay systems and design.
  • 2+ years of scripting/coding experience.
  • Previous experience working on and shipping a AAA title as a systems/game designer.
  • Passion for games and interactive gameplay.
  • Open to working in/relocating to Toronto.
