Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, organize, and evaluate data related to geomorphology, hydrology, and hydraulic processes.
- Assist in conducting assessments of fluvial geomorphology and open-channel hydraulics.
- Prepare detailed technical reports.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across different offices and specialties.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as physical geography, geology, water resources engineering, or environmental engineering.
- A minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience in the environmental consulting sector.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) or Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is advantageous.
- Experience with erosion hazard assessments and familiarity with GIS software.
- Proficiency in conducting fieldwork related to fluvial geomorphology, including the measurement of bankfull cross-sections.
- Knowledge of total station and RTK GPS survey techniques.
- Ability to travel to remote locations for fieldwork safely and efficiently.
