Occupational Therapist

Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a full-time community-based position. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing expert care and support to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy services to clients in their homes, workplaces, and communities
- Assess and treat clients with a variety of diagnoses and injuries, focusing on a return to previous level of function
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each client
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Conduct in-home and hospital discharge assessments, home safety and/or home modification assessments, ergonomic assessments, concussion treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, mental health treatment, and other interventions
- Work with clients to support their successful and sustainable return to work through onsite functional and cognitive functional work capacity assessments, as well as functional and cognitive job coaching
- Conduct in-vivo exposure therapy and strategies to re-integrate into the community and meaningful daily activities
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Clinical experience in areas such as brain injury rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal and orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics, and/or return to work
- Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, workplaces, and/or in the community
- Passion about your profession, commitment to ongoing professional development, and dedication to providing excellent client care
- Ability to thrive in a self-directed and independent environment

- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and analytic skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
