Position Overview:

The Parking Enforcement Officer reports directly to the Area Manager, ensuring that all parking permits and dashboard tickets are valid and properly displayed at various locations. The role involves both indoor and outdoor environments, with potential exposure to various weather conditions and environmental factors.

Work Location: North York, ON

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Compensation Structure: Hourly wage

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience in parking enforcement or security is advantageous; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with electronic devices is beneficial
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Review daily scheduled routes before starting shifts
  • Check dispatch emails for client requests and review event calendars
  • Respond promptly to client requests for enforcement, confirming receipt and providing debriefs post-service
  • Inspect vehicles and necessary equipment prior to shift; report any issues immediately
  • Adhere to procedures for logging site visits
  • Verify expiration dates on parking receipts and approved hangtags
  • Utilize enforcement software to check vehicle registrations
  • Ensure accuracy in issuing parking tickets
  • Return devices to their original state and place them on charging units
  • Coordinate towing of vehicles as per By-Law regulations
  • Capable of working outdoors and in a sheltered garage environment
  • Complete mandatory health and safety training upon hiring
  • Perform litter collection and general maintenance of parking equipment
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned
