This position is responsible for delivering clinical assistance to our Village teams throughout the organization, encompassing both Retirement and Long-Term Care facilities. The Support Office operates from Kitchener, and while the geographical base for candidates is flexible, regular travel to various Villages across Ontario will be required.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of all community members, including our team members, by providing a fulfilling experience. As a family-owned and operated organization, we are committed to:

“Providing holistic health care in a home-like environment, designed to foster a caring community that emphasizes optimal health and purpose for each resident.”

As part of the Support Office team, you will collaborate with Village clinical leadership to promote and enhance best practice nursing care and clinical services for our residents in both Long Term Care and Retirement settings.

  • Continuous Quality Improvement: Play a vital role in ongoing quality enhancement initiatives for clinical services, ensuring we prioritize living well for our residents.
  • Values and Relationships: Uphold Schlegel Villages' core values of trust, compassion, stability, and hope, while fostering the growth and development of those you support.

This role will encompass the entire continuum of care within our Villages, including both Long Term Care and Retirement services. The ideal candidate will provide guidance to clinical teams in both sectors regarding regulations, compliance, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure high standards of quality and compliance across all Villages.
  • Training & Education: Deliver educational programs aligned with Schlegel Villages' initiatives, policies, and procedures. Address high-risk issues promptly and support Villages in meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement: Oversee the effective operation and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) of the homes, managing CQI and Accreditation programs in line with Schlegel Village standards.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze quality indicators and adverse events, conducting quality reviews as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Long-Term Care or Retirement Homes, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Expertise in utilizing data to inform decisions and translating policies into actionable practices.
  • Experience in gerontology, continuous quality improvement, research, adult learning, and change management.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and analytical thinking.

Schlegel Villages is committed to accommodating individual needs in accordance with the Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), throughout our recruitment process.
