Job Title: Executive Housekeeper

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Housekeeper to join our team at The Wickaninnish Inn Ltd. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. This includes supervising a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating inspections, and maintaining financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient housekeeping operations
  • Select and purchase equipment and supplies to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Plan and coordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and departmental policies
  • Supervise staff to ensure they meet performance expectations and maintain a positive work environment
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including budgets and payrolls
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair services to ensure minimal disruptions to housekeeping operations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to ensure staff development and growth
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure efficient operations
  • Supervise in-house laundry services to ensure high standards of cleanliness and efficiency
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
