We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logging Operations Supervisor to join our team at Integrated Operations Group Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the logging operations and ensuring that they are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Determine Crew Sizes and Equipment Requirements
You will be responsible for determining the optimal crew sizes and equipment requirements for each logging operation, taking into account factors such as terrain, weather conditions, and available resources.
Develop and Implement Logging Operation MethodsYou will be responsible for developing and implementing logging operation methods that maximize efficiency and minimize costs, while ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Provide Technical Advice and GuidanceYou will provide technical advice and guidance to logging crew members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
Establish Work Schedules and Monitor ProgressYou will be responsible for establishing work schedules and monitoring progress, ensuring that all logging operations are completed on time and within budget.
Prepare and Submit ReportsYou will prepare and submit regular reports to management, providing detailed information on logging operations, including progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Train and Develop Logging Crew MembersYou will be responsible for training and developing logging crew members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
Supervise and Coordinate Logging OperationsYou will supervise and coordinate logging operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements- 5+ Years of Experience in Logging Operations
You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in logging operations, with a proven track record of success in supervising and coordinating logging crews.
Valid Driver's LicenceYou must have a valid driver's licence and be willing to operate heavy equipment as required.
Excellent Communication and Leadership SkillsYou must have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with logging crew members, management, and other stakeholders.
Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced EnvironmentYou must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Health and Safety CertificationYou must have a valid health and safety certification, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
