Role Overview: We are currently seeking a Shop Manager to oversee maintenance operations in our Bowmanville location. This position involves supervising shop personnel and ensuring efficient maintenance performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of location maintenance operations.
- Provide oversight and direction to shop staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Schedule and administer fleet maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues as necessary.
- Conduct performance reviews and handle employee development.
- Collaborate closely with the Location Manager and regional maintenance management.
- Initiate projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
- Supervise bus fueling and arrange services for building maintenance.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Technical training and/or Mechanic license preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience.
- Strong computer and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in repairing and maintaining diesel engines and school bus equipment is preferred.
