Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Director to lead our software quality assurance engineering team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing software engineering plans, directing software engineering resource allocation, and ensuring the successful delivery of product releases. Your expertise in software design, development, and testing will be instrumental in driving innovation and excellence in our software engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the software quality assurance engineering team to develop and implement software engineering plans, ensuring compliance with industry-leading software engineering practices.
- Direct software engineering resource allocation, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and successful delivery of product releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, mechanical, product management, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products.
- Develop and implement processes to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the software engineering team.
- Guide and mentor software quality test developers to ensure they are productive, engaged contributors within their teams and the overall R&D group.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years of software team leadership experience.
- Strong leadership skills, proven expertise in creating an innovation culture, and excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Thorough knowledge of software development areas, including embedded systems, design, integration of Linux & toolchain, BSP & OS abstraction, and application framework.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma Methodologies or equivalent, and experience with development environment & tools, such as GNU, VMWare, IAR, Eclipse, etc.
- Working knowledge in C/C++, Java, Perl, Linux, Android, JVM/JNI, Qt, TCP/IP, and embedded web/HTTP, XML, VOIP, security & encryption technologies, Wi-Fi, ZigBee, Z-Wave, DECT, GSM(2G/3G/HSPA/LTE), CDMA.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, basic knowledge of analog and digital hardware, microcontrollers, microprocessors, and DSP processors, and product knowledge relating to security systems.
