Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager leads inventory planning and procurement activities for a selected portfolio of products to ensure financial performance, continued product availability, and optimal inventory levels. This includes managing vendor performance, mitigating supply issues, planning and effectively managing stock and replenishment activities, as well as supporting the Strategic Procurement Team to drive supplier relationship and revenue opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Replenishment (35%)
- Manages an inbound procurement calendar which optimizes operational flow.
- Develops and oversees inventory replenishment plan within assigned product portfolio with key internal stakeholders.
- Generates daily required purchase orders based on forecasts, economic order quantity (EOQ), seasonal timing, and promotional business, to achieve balanced KPIs (Service Level, Inventory Levels, and revenue generation).
- Quickly reacts to unforeseen events by expediting replenishment activities as needed.
- Manages over and out of stock situations, reviews aged inventory, initiates returns and stock re-balancing, and gets involved in operational issues as well as general vendor performance management.
- In collaboration with the Supply Chain Demand and Events Planning Team, supports planned commitments and inventory strategies with Strategic Account Managers and Sales Operations.
- Leveraging analytics, identifies and communicates upcoming risks and inventory challenges to key stakeholders.
- Collaborates closely with Supply Chain Demand and Events Planning Team on sales forecast creation/adjustment.
- Partners with Operations and Inventory Optimization and Reverse Logistics to optimize inbound inventory levels, timing, and configuration in order to maximize space/resource efficiency.
- Identifies system parameter improvements leading to optimized DRP results.
- Supports negotiations with Category Management as it relates to inventory commitments and buys as well as vendor management.
- Performs forward buy execution and analyzes return-on-capital implication.
- Collaborates with the Strategic Procurement team for vendor business reviews.
- Actively contributes to cross-functional projects fostering continuous improvement.
- Occasional backfill/support for other supply planners and/or related activities.
- Maintains relevant business knowledge of product categories and stays abreast of market and industry trends and conditions.
- Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values.
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and/or Planning.
- Retail/Wholesale/Life Sciences experience is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply chain related field, Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent.
- Professional designation in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPIM) is an asset.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is an asset.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under pressure and prioritize adequately.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong ability to collaborate with various levels of management and colleagues.
- Demonstrated leadership.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid business acumen.
- Good presentation skills.
- Perfectly bilingual, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Replenishment systems is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, and Visio).
- Knowledge of process and project management.
- Solid experience working with senior management.
- Ability to work as part of multi-functional teams.
- Attention to detail, whilst maintaining a strong sense of summary and ability to synthesize.
- Team player.
- Ability to identify operational and strategic issues and proactively drive solutions.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience, and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$68,000 - $113,400
