YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Vice-President of Buying for Men's Footwear, the Merchandising Coordinator is tasked with collecting and synthesizing information from account managers to effectively influence collection development, reporting, and insights provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with ALDO Group International Senior Account Managers, serving as the product expert for the territory.
  • Offer ongoing product and purchasing support to the AGI Account Management team.
  • Contribute to the regional Keep Drop and Update document by incorporating feedback from account managers while adhering to SKU limits and fostering commonality when applicable.
  • Oversee the ALDO Group International territory Conceptual Assortment Plan (CAP) to ensure alignment with SKU counts and product attributes at the seasonal launch.
  • Collaborate with ALDO Group International planning to gather essential information for regional CAP, SKU requirements, and budgets.
  • Contribute to the Global Product Strategy by collecting results, consumer insights, and industry trends relevant to the territory.
  • Develop territory market knowledge regarding consumer insights, competition, and industry trends through feedback from account managers, market visits, and ongoing research to identify product opportunities.
  • Conduct weekly product performance analysis for the assigned territory, identifying product opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing Seasonal Buying Postmortem.
  • Support the Global Go-to-Market strategy with pertinent territory insights.
  • Assist in preparing for GTM timelines and deadlines.
  • Support Market Week product presentations and key franchise account product balancing.
  • Be responsible for the ALDO Group International forecasting.
  • Recommend territory SKU quantification targets to the Account Management team.
  • Oversee VM setup.
  • Coordinate with the ladies' team to ensure consistency in reporting.
  • Detail the line plan provided by account managers at the archetype level.
  • Ensure account managers approve the detailed line plan.
  • Support wholesale and walkthroughs for every necessary release.
