As a Senior Director of Commercial Banking at Banque Nationale du Canada, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the portfolio of business clients under your care. Your diverse and intricate responsibilities will position you as the primary resource for your clients regarding their financial initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate business prospects within your territory, enhance your commercial client base, and devise strategic business development plans.
  • Assist clients in achieving their business goals by recommending financial strategies tailored to the optimal mix of Bank products and services.
  • Adapt and refine financial offerings and advice to meet the evolving needs of clients.
  • Negotiate client agreements, ensuring compliance with risk management protocols and profitability standards.
  • Develop comprehensive business growth plans.
  • Support the Regional Vice-President in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Financing Solutions Manager.
  • Engage in various networking events (such as conferences and industry gatherings).
  • Work collaboratively with all departments within the Bank.

Your Team:

In the Commercial Banking and Private Banking 1859 division, you will join a dedicated team of professionals committed to supporting business clients. You will be surrounded by a network of specialists, including financing solutions managers, who will assist you in delivering the most suitable solutions for our clients' needs.

Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, you will oversee a portfolio of clients across the Vancouver region.

Our training programs leverage on-the-job learning to help you excel in your role. You will have access to personalized training materials covering banking solutions and advisory methodologies to support your continuous development. Additionally, you will connect with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, enriching your professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Depending on your educational background, a minimum of 5 to 9 years of experience in sales and business development within the financial sector:
  • University certificate with 9 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience.
  • Master's degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development.
  • Expertise in financial statement analysis.
  • Experience in commercial credit.
  • A network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large corporations is an asset.
