Position Title: Commercial Banking Account Manager

Reporting To: Branch Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and engage potential clients, gathering essential information pertinent to loan or credit applications.
  • Independently evaluate and analyze financial data and borrower profiles to formulate a robust rationale for credit adjudication and recommendations.
  • Oversee the processing of sanctioned loans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and adherence to banking policies.
  • Address issues related to the processing and management of loans within the assigned portfolio.
  • Maintain comprehensive client files, including conducting regular reviews to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Spot opportunities for business growth and product improvements based on client insights and market analysis.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of account-related events and marketing initiatives, including delivering presentations to clients as necessary.
  • Actively participate in the product development process alongside team members and cross-functional groups.
  • Represent the bank at community and social events to enhance the institution's reputation and foster new business relationships.
  • Promote the bank's additional products and services, directing clients to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Support the bank in maintaining a competitive edge in the financing sector.
  • Collaborate with the branch manager to achieve designated growth targets for deposits and loans.
  • Mentor and inspire junior team members and staff in the realm of commercial banking.

Job Specification:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial credit with comprehensive knowledge of lending practices and terminology, particularly in commercial banking.
  • Advanced understanding of commercial, real estate, and consumer loan processing.
  • Relevant post-secondary education, holding a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin (or Cantonese) is essential.
  • Capability to develop marketing strategies and business development skills with clients.
  • Ability to lead and mentor less experienced loan officers and staff members as required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability to navigate a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
