About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director to join our Commercial Banking team at Banque Nationale du Canada. As a Senior Director, Commercial Banking and Financial Services, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients assigned to you, identifying and developing business opportunities, and establishing business development strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your commercial client base, and establish business development strategies.
  • Client Advisory: Help your clients attain their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services.
  • Relationship Management: Meet clients' changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and advice/approaches.
  • Negotiation and Risk Management: Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, while making sure that they meet risk management standards and profitability criteria.
  • Business Planning: Draw up business development plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist the Regional Vice-President in reaching objectives, work with the Manager – Financing Solutions, and actively participate in various networking activities.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work in synergy with all the other departments of the Bank.
About the Team

You will join a team of professionals that supports business clients, working in the Commercial Banking and Private Banking sector. You will be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists, like financing solutions managers, who will help you offer the solutions that best suit our clients' needs.

Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 to 9 years' experience in sales and business development within the financial industry.
  • Education: University certificate and 9 years' experience, Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience, Master's degree and 5 years' experience.
  • Skills: Experience in sales and business development, analysis of financial statements, commercial credit, and a network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies.
