As a Senior Director of Commercial Banking at Banque Nationale du Canada, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the portfolio of corporate clients assigned to you. Your diverse and intricate responsibilities will position you as the primary resource for your clients regarding their financial initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate business prospects within your market, enhance your commercial client base, and devise effective business development strategies.
  • Assist clients in achieving their business goals by recommending financial strategies that incorporate the most appropriate combination of Bank products and services.
  • Adapt and refine financial products and advisory approaches to meet clients' evolving needs.
  • Negotiate agreements with clients, ensuring compliance with risk management standards and profitability objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive business development plans.
  • Support the Regional Vice-President in meeting strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Financing Solutions.
  • Engage in various networking events (such as conferences and social gatherings).
  • Work collaboratively with all departments within the Bank.

Your Team:

Within the Commercial Banking and Private Banking 1859 sector, you will be part of a team of professionals dedicated to supporting business clients. You will also collaborate with specialists, including financing solutions managers, to provide tailored solutions that best address our clients' requirements.

Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, you will oversee a portfolio of clients in the Vancouver region.

Our training programs emphasize on-the-job learning to ensure you excel in your role. You will have access to personalized training materials covering topics such as banking solutions and advisory techniques to support your continuous development. Additionally, you will connect with colleagues possessing diverse expertise and backgrounds to enhance all facets of your professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Depending on your educational background, a minimum of 5 to 9 years of experience in sales and business development within the financial sector:
  • University certificate and 9 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience.
  • Master's degree and 5 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development.
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis.
  • Experience in commercial credit.
  • A network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large corporations is an asset.
