About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Support Specialist to join our team at 5054801 Ontario Limited. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor activities and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Supply and empty bed pans as needed, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Provide physical support to patients, including weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning them safely.
  • Maintain patients' rooms and ensure they are clean and tidy.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and ensure that all necessary equipment is available.
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Respond to call signals and determine patients' needs, providing assistance as required.
  • Collect specimens and prepare them for laboratory testing.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, following established protocols.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field is preferred.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 32 hours per week.
