About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Support Specialist to join our team at 5054801 Ontario Limited. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities to promote physical and mental well-being.
  • Supply and empty bed pans to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, to monitor their health.
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients to ensure they receive nutritious food.
  • Weigh, lift, turn, and position patients to prevent injury and promote comfort.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms to create a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines to promote physical activity and mobility.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients to promote personal hygiene and dignity.
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher to facilitate mobility and access to care.
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond accordingly.
  • Collect specimens for laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
Certifications and Qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate to ensure you are equipped to respond to emergencies.
  • CPR Certificate to demonstrate your ability to provide life-saving care.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physically demanding work environment that requires standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking to accommodate patient needs and promote mobility.
  • Permanent work term with a regular schedule.
  • English language proficiency required for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
  • 32 hours per week to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
