Job Summary
Radiant Care Pleasant Manor is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team in the Nursing department. As a Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient personal care for residents, including all activities of daily living, to ensure their optimum physical, social, recreational, spiritual, and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized service in a home-like setting, adapting to the changing needs of residents and adjusting service delivery as required under the direction of the ADOC/DOC.
- Effectively communicate with residents, staff, and families, providing excellent customer service in a respectful, courteous, and pleasant manner.
- Observe and report changes in resident status, recording necessary data on resident health and provision of service.
- Share responsibility for care of equipment in the home and personal belongings of residents, working co-operatively with team members.
- Receive direction from registered staff, participate in quality improvement activities, in-service sessions, and training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Practical Nurse in the province of Ontario.
- A member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Training and education in caring for seniors in long term care.
- Demonstrated experience in caring for seniors in long term care.
- Demonstrated experience in documentation and care planning.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Computer skills.
