Key Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Gaming Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring that Casino patrons enjoy a remarkable entertainment experience by overseeing the Slot department staff and operations.

Core Duties include: Monitoring Slot operations to guarantee adherence to department regulations and procedures. Assisting management with staffing and performance evaluations. Executing a variety of administrative tasks as directed by the Slot Manager. Developing, distributing, and adjusting staff schedules to align with operational requirements and manage costs effectively. Serving as the Manager on Duty on a rotational basis. Engaging in additional projects and activities as necessary to ensure an outstanding experience for the Casino's slot players.

Employment Conditions

  • Candidates selected for this position will undergo a background check and must obtain and maintain a gaming employee Certificate of Registration from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA)/Indigenous Gaming Regulators (IGR).
  • The minimum age requirement for employment in a casino or any area where gaming is visible is 19 years.
  • Some SIGA locations may operate in a high sensory environment. Employees may be exposed to tobacco smoke, elevated noise levels, flashing lights, and a crowded workplace. SIGA complies with all occupational health and safety regulations and strives to mitigate the adverse effects of these conditions.
  • As a commitment to employee and patron safety, SIGA has implemented a Drug & Alcohol policy for its workforce.
  • Adherence to all regulatory requirements applicable to the position, including but not limited to SLGA requirements and Anti-Money Laundering regulations set forth in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and related policies established by Canada and FINTRAC.

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of Grade 12 or GED, or a combination of relevant education, training, and/or experience.

Experience

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a casino slots department or a combination of relevant training.
  • Experience in assisting with recruitment, training, coaching, and scheduling of staff in a supervisory capacity.
