Job Title: Manager (H/F) - Temps complet

The Manager, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) is a key role at Engineers and Geoscientists BC, responsible for leading all activities related to EDI and Truth and Reconciliation (T&R) initiatives. This includes developing and implementing policies, programs, and strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and among its stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the execution of action plans in the areas of EDI and T&R, based on the organization's strategy and goals.
  • Support the Associate Director, EDI in defining the role the organization can play in EDI and T&R initiatives, given its regulatory mandate.
  • Oversee the daily work and formal performance management of the EDI Coordinator.
  • Represent Engineers and Geoscientists BC in Engineers Canada's 30 by 30 Networks and Working Groups, including volunteer management, agenda and material development, and presentation development.
  • Develop content with the Communications department for communication channels to inform registrants and staff about EDI and T&R initiatives, educational materials, resources, and progress.
  • Lead the organization in the collection, analysis, and reporting of EDI and T&R data to measure trends.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A recognized certification in EDI or advanced education/degree in diversity and equity issues is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in working with Indigenous Peoples and in issues of Truth and Reconciliation.
  • 3+ years of experience providing leadership and direction to direct reports, including coaching/mentoring and overseeing performance.
  • Experience supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at an organization, regulatory body, or professional services firm.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace inclusion concepts and methodologies, as well as Truth & Reconciliation with Indigenous People in Canada.
  • Skills in data analysis, report writing, developing and facilitating education/training, and project management.
