POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Agreement Specialist at BC Housing leads the development of project agreements between the organization and its partners. This role involves reviewing project leases, housing agreements, and intergovernmental agreements to ensure alignment with BC Housing's strategic objectives.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, social studies, business administration, or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in drafting and interpreting agreements/contracts.
  • Ability to learn and understand BC Housing agreement templates, programs, and related documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, communication, and decision-making skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Agreement Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing project agreements between BC Housing and its partners.
  • Reviewing project leases, housing agreements, and intergovernmental agreements.
  • Negotiating with housing providers and liaising with legal counsel.
  • Drafting and issuing complex project agreements under various BC Housing funding programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Senior Agreement Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and prioritize workload effectively.
