Brave Control Solutions Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing innovative automation solutions for manufacturing processes across diverse industries.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to conceptualize, design, and implement cutting-edge tooling and equipment. Your expertise in 3D modeling and 2D detailing will be instrumental in bringing our clients' visions to life.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize industry-standard CAD software (Inventor, Catia, Unigraphics, FIDES, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create detailed models and drawings that adhere to customer specifications.
  • Estimate design timeframes for new concepts and modifications, ensuring projects stay on schedule.
  • Develop creative and practical engineering solutions that meet or exceed client requirements, focusing on manufacturability, maintainability, and serviceability.
  • Analyze customer blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to determine the most effective design approach.
  • Conduct thorough engineering calculations and select appropriate materials to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • Coordinate with structural and finite element analysis experts to validate the robustness and reliability of designs.
  • Collaborate with other designers, both internal and external, to ensure seamless project execution and comprehensive design coverage.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to refine designs, enhance efficiency, and improve overall product quality.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in concept design, 3D modeling, and 2D detailing for manufacturing tooling and assembly equipment.
  • Proven expertise in one or more industries such as automotive, aerospace, construction, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software packages (Inventor, Catia, Unigraphics, FIDES, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites within the USA, Mexico, and Canada, as required.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, to meet project deadlines.
