Position Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Brave Control Solutions Inc., you will collaborate with a dedicated team to create and innovate automation solutions tailored for manufacturing processes across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adjust CAD models in accordance with client specifications utilizing software such as Inventor, Catia, Unigraphics, FIDES, AutoCad, and Solidworks.
  • Assess design hours required for tool conceptualization, design, and release, including modifications.
  • Generate layout and detailed drawings as necessary to align with project schedules, crafting inventive engineering solutions that fulfill or surpass client expectations.
  • Analyze customer specifications, engineering diagrams, and relevant data to establish the design methodologies required for producing and distributing digital and/or printed documentation related to engineering and manufacturing needs.
  • Conduct essential engineering calculations and select appropriate materials to ensure the design meets functional requirements.
  • Oversee any structural and/or finite element analyses necessary to evaluate the performance of the designed tools.
  • Manage the creation of part drawings, including CAD drawings, through collaboration with other designers, whether in-house or outsourced, to ensure comprehensive management of the assigned tool designs.
  • Work in close partnership with senior designers to implement design modifications aimed at enhancing manufacturability, maintainability, and serviceability of equipment.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client facilities as required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience and proven skills in Concepting, 3-D Design, and 2-D Detailing for manufacturing and assembly tooling.
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, construction, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, as project demands arise.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and personnel from other departments.
