Director of Transit Infrastructure Projects

Position Overview:
As part of our expanding Rail/Transit division, we are in search of a Project Director for Transit Infrastructure. This role is crucial for the advancement and expansion of GHD's Transit/Rail services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Directing cross-functional teams for both preliminary and detailed design of transit facility projects for municipal clients, acting as Project Manager or Project Director.
- Overseeing all facets of project management from proposal initiation to project completion, including team management, subcontractor coordination, budget oversight, scheduling, quality assurance, safety protocols, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborating with GHD Design and the design team, which may include international members.
- Addressing contractor inquiries, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits during construction as necessary.
- Developing, monitoring, and managing project budgets.
- Engaging with clients and participating in business development and promotional initiatives for the organization.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or Registered Architect in Ontario.
- PMP certification or in progress.
- Experience with Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
- Over 15 years of project management experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, particularly in transit facilities, rail systems, station design, electrification, and signaling.
- Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods (P3, DB, PDB) and experience managing collaborative arrangements with contractors and consultants.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Rail and Transit Lead in Ontario.
