About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director, Transit Infrastructure to join our Rail/Transit practice. This is a key position that will play a critical role in the development and growth of our Transit/Rail practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design transit facility projects for municipal clients as a Project Manager or Project Director.
  2. Take ownership for all aspects of the management of projects from proposal to close-out, including managing teams, sub-consultants, budgets, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  3. Interface with GHD Design and design team (potentially located internationally).
  4. Accountable to contractor questions, reviews shop drawings, and attends sites during construction as required.
  5. Prepare, track, and administer project budgets.
  6. Liaise with clients, participates in business development and promotional activities for the company.

Requirements:

  1. P. Eng or Registered Architect in Ontario.
  2. Accredited with PMP certification (or working towards).
  3. Experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
  4. 15+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams with experience in transit facilities, rail, stations, electrification, and signaling.
  5. Project Delivery in an alternate project delivery (P3, DB, PDB), and experience in managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.

Reporting Structure:

The successful candidate will report to the Rail and Transit Lead in Ontario.
