This position will primarily concentrate on transit-related projects, necessitating close collaboration with various stakeholders and an integrated project team to advance significant initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commercial aspects of major transit public-private partnership (P3) projects.
- Implement tools and methodologies for effective commercial management during the project execution phase.
- Coordinate with technical teams and consultants to address critical issues throughout the design and construction stages.
- Identify and apply risk mitigation strategies tailored to complex project environments.
- Advise senior management on the overall administration of major projects, focusing on commercial strategies and contract management.
- Analyze claims and variations, engaging in negotiations with contractors to resolve disputes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project staff.
- Perform additional duties and initiatives as required to support project objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Educational background in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP certification or progress towards obtaining it.
- Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and technical challenges in construction.
- Extensive experience in negotiating claims and contractual adjustments on major projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction systems and various contract delivery models.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences.
