About the Role:
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans, leveraging expertise in relationship management, data management, team leadership, and communications.
- Collaborate with senior management to facilitate financial support for the University and establish fundraising best practices and strategies for the Advancement team.
- Develop and execute fundraising campaigns, including an upcoming multimillion-dollar campaign, to support established and future funding priorities.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, faculty, students, alumni, volunteers, and members of the MSVU leadership team and the Board of Governors.
- Drive project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion, with tightly prescribed timelines.
About You:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in a senior fundraising development role, preferably in a university setting.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to create and maintain trusted relationships and engage key stakeholders.
- Commitment to social justice and advancing EDIA (equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility) and truth and reconciliation, in keeping with MSVU's mission and strategic plan.
