Quality Assurance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc. in a Quality Control role.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and conduct training and certification programs for Quality Control Inspectors.
- Ensure that inspectors work safely and efficiently, and in compliance with company safety regulations.
- Maintain discipline and monitor performance of employees.
- Schedule manpower assignments to ensure productivity and organize overtime requirements.
- Oversee the operation of the Gauge Lab, coordinate calibrations for master gauges, and distribute and monitor responses for overdue calibration reports.
- Evaluate internal and external Quality Control Inspectors and candidates, determine suitability, and monitor and maintain performance.
- Develop and maintain inspection reports and checklists for inspectors to facilitate complex inspection activities.
- Support the inspection process in Operations, issue deficiency reports, and assist with interpretation of drawings, procedures, acceptance standards, and product acceptability.
- Represent Quality Control in interdepartmental meetings, Continuous Process Improvement teams, and participate in RCA investigations.
- College diploma is preferred.
- Technician/Technologist certificate preferably in a related field (Engineering, QC, QA, Welding, NDE).
- Five years experience in Quality Control, preferably at a supervisory level.
- Knowledge of fitting, welding, or fabrication.
- Superior computer and communication skills.
The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $78,000 and $121,000 per year. The total compensation package may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
