Position Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee our quality assurance operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our Quality Control Inspectors, including NDE Technicians and Gauge Lab Technicians, are fully qualified and equipped to perform necessary inspections that comply with our QA programs and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training & Certification: Organize and facilitate training sessions, certification testing, and re-certification for quality control personnel.
  • Supervision: Ensure that inspectors adhere to safety protocols and maintain high productivity levels. Monitor employee performance and manage work schedules effectively.
  • Gauge Lab Oversight: Supervise the operations of the Gauge Lab, manage calibration processes, and address any overdue calibration reports.
  • Inspector Evaluation: Assess the performance of internal and external QC inspectors, ensuring their independence and suitability for quality-related tasks.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive inspection reports and checklists to document inspection activities.
  • Inspection Support: Assist in the inspection process, addressing customer concerns and ensuring compliance with acceptance standards.
  • Quality Representation: Prepare monthly reports for management, participate in interdepartmental meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred college diploma.
  • Technician/Technologist certification in a relevant field (Engineering, QC, QA, Welding, NDE).
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Quality Control, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of fitting, welding, or fabrication processes.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is between $78,000 and $121,000 per year, based on local market factors and the candidate's qualifications. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as annual cash incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
